𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠
Our favourite Dessert Chef / Protein Snack expert Lilla has knocked it out of the park (again!) with this delicious, macro-friendly sticky toffee pudding.
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
•85g all-purpose flour
•2 scoops of @spartanprotein Pure Whey (Vanilla or Toffee Fudge work best)
•5g baking powder
•150g pitted dates
•250ml hot water
•3 tablespoon maple syrup
•3 eggs (separate the yolk and egg whites)
•vanilla extract
𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:
•Preheat the oven to 160C
•Place your dates with the 250ml hot water in a pan, cook the dates till they break and the mixture gets thicker
•once it’s thicker, transfer to a blender with the maple syrup and the vanilla extract and blend it till smooth.
•let it cool a little bit. Meanwhile, separate the yolks and the whites and whisk until you get soft peaks
•in a different bowl mix your cooled date mixture, the flour, protein powder, baking powder and the egg yolks
•slowly add and fold the beaten egg whites to the mixture and mix it again carefully
•line the baking tray with extra maple syrup and transfer the batter into the baking tray. Cover it with a cling film. Get a bigger tray and fill it up with hot water until half.
•place the smaller baking tray into the big one and put them into the oven for 50mins to and 1 hour till it’s baked.
•let it cool and serve it with extra maple syrup and some low calorie ice cream (@halotop is a very decent choice here!)
